Protein Chocolate & Banana Gelato

A lot of ‘healthy swap’ recipes for foods like ice creams tend to be horrible. They’re nothing like the real thing, so they don’t scratch the itch when you’re craving it.
This one has only 5 simple ingredients, is high in protein and you would honestly think you’re eating the real thing. Great option for a Netflix night or as a healthier dessert.
This makes about 8 scoops, so don’t eat the whole lot.

Ingredients:
4 ripe bananas, peeled, chopped & frozen (have to be frozen)
3 scoops of chocolate whey
1 tbsp quality cocoa powder
2 tbsp peanut butter
150ml milk

Method:
1. Put all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend on a low speed until smooth. You might need to stop it a couple of times and mix all the ingredients around until the bananas break down and the mixture becomes smooth. Add milk slowly based on consistency
2. Serve 2 scoops in a bowl with some chopped hazelnuts on top. Store the rest in an airtight container in the freezer
